Simple Poolside Posing Tips for Every Woman
Happy August Ladies! Don’t put away those bathing suits just yet, we’ve got one more month to really enjoy all that Summer has to offer. There’s no reason you shouldn’t look fierce in your swimsuit. Head on over to the pool and get your cameras ready because I’ve got simple poolside posing tips for every woman.
I brought along my bestie Jennifer (@jenniferoneal1999) to collaborate with me, to show you how easy it is to look cute at the pool for that post worthy shot. I mean, it is a “Hot Girl Summerr” after all.
Obscure the stomach area
This tip is for anyone that may have more than they would like in the belly area. I suggest you position your legs in a way that obscures the stomach, drawing the attention to the legs and upper body. Here I found the edge of the pool to be the perfect spot, using the steps to allow one leg to be positioned higher than the other. Making sure to angle the body slightly away from camera. This is always the best position for me after a full lunch.
Give the Illusion of a Toned Leg
Didn’t have time to work on those legs, well it’s ok to cheat a little to get your best pool worthy photo. Create tension in the leg by pressing your toes down slightly into the floor, like as if you are stepping forward. This makes the thigh and calf muscles flex and creates a beautiful shape for the body, while lifting the hip. As you can see Jennifer does this beautifully.
Focus on the Décolletage
Do you have an awesome bust area? Girlfriend then this pose is for you! Take your arms and wrap them around your body with a soft touch, (like you’re hugging yourself) this is an automatic boob lift. This instantly draws the eye to your décolletage area. Ooh… La… La…
Put on your favorite pop of lipstick and get it going!
It’s all about the Angles
When taking a picture you've been taught to look into the camera. Well, for poolside posing not looking directly into camera puts the focus on your bikini bod instead of your face. Look into camera and then before the shot is taken move your face slightly to a 45 degree angle. Looking down is also encouraged.
Lift your arms to create shapes and shift the lower body away from the upper body to create a sexy figure. This too makes your photo more engaging. Place your hands on your hip or find a prop to hold on to for fun. Check out how me and my girl Jennifer do it!
